Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert has won in a House district in Colorado where she moved midway through the election cycle to avoid what would have been a tough reelection bid in her old district.

Boebert, a rabble-rouser who’s helped define an ultra-conservative flank of the U.S. House, took a gamble in moving races, and it paid off.

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert won a third term in Congress in a new district, triumphing in her jump from the western to the eastern side of the state. With 82% of the vote counted, the Associated Press projected Boebert the winner with 53% to 43% for Democrat Trisha Calvarese.
